Kapaa is located in the Kauai County of Hawaii. The area is referred to as a 'census-designated place' so calling it a town is not too much of a bad idea despite its 10,000 person population. Visitors who come to the area and stay at a local hotel usually do so with the knowledge that the town is relatively small but there is a beauty in its tranquil and simple nature that you could only find in a town this size.

The town itself offers a range of interesting delights in the form of shops and art galleries so be ready to spend your hard-earned money on clothing and little items you'll want to take home as a way of remembering your time spent in this wonderful location.

Eating out is also considered a favorite tourist activity. There are plenty of restaurants in the area that serve a variety of forms of cuisine. The town also boasts a fair number of bars that serve drinks and play great music so you will never be at a loss for places to go out to on evenings not spent inside the room of the local hotel of your choice.
